Media Elementary announces school may be closed for up to one year due to structure remediation

#mediapa

Update: 7:30 pm EST:  Media Patch reports on the latest regarding Media Elementary.

About 30 minutes ago, Media Elementary's Maria Koch called families stating the school may be closed for potentially one year due to remediation purposes.  In all probability the school will not be allowed to open in September, but school officials emphasized the building is currently 100 percent safe.  The announcement of the closure was due to recently discovered structural issues.

Details to come.

  1. If this is anything like 3rd street bridge the school should be done in 17 years. Lets hope council does not have a say with this project.

  2. You're probably right....and after 17 years they'll send out a survey to see what people really want after the engineering recommendations have been submitted and approved.
