Media Rugby since 1978

Media Youth Rugby
People are often familiar with football, baseball, basketball and lacrosse, but rugby?  If you're from Media or grew up in the area you'd know that Media has had one of the most successful rugby football teams around.    They've been an established club since 1978!  You've probably seen people wearing sweatshirts or maybe a flyer or two, but did you know Media also has a youth rugby league?

In fact, this is the youngster's first year that they've made it to the Eastern Pennsylvania Championship.  On Sunday, June 3rd they will be playing an exhibition at PPL park in Chester before a nationally televised audience.  That's big time, Media Rugby!  If you'd like more information, please check out their website

Media Beach Rugby

Jun 9, 2012
This will be the 4th year Media Rugby hosts the tournament in Wildwood, NJ.

A reminder that this is played in the sand and is 5v5. Roster size of 8-10 players.

I can confirm that we will have a U19 Boys specific bracket this year! So we will have Men, Women, and U19 Boys.

The tournament this year is Saturday June 9. It is the weekend after the NBC College 7’s tournament in Philadelphia.  What a great way to start the summer with the NBC College 7’s tournament and then rugby on the beach!  We're in Wildwood so NO BEACH TAGS!!!!!

$160 before June 9th
$180 day of the tournament
Please pass this information along to your players.
Please email owentjones235@yahoo.com if interested. Thank you.

  3. Media youth team plays at Sapovitz field in Media, 4 blocks from State St. Media is the dominant and fastest growing rugby organization in the Mid-atlantic with U-13, U-15, U-19 Men and Women, Men's and Alumni teams and a 7s program. That's 7 separate teams for those counting at home. And its all born and raised in the little Hamlet of Media, PA.

    Don't hate cause you ain't.
