Media Boro votes in favor on One way 3rd St Bdg.

A short while ago Media Boro Council voted in favor of a one way lane for proposed Third St Bridge

  1. Title should read:

"Media Boro Council panders to ten people"

The council of dunces hath spoken...

  2. Is anyone surprised by the vote? The fix has been in to make it one way since this pathetic crew got voted in. They have had 4 votes since January but waited to vote to ensure that if overturned in court that funding would run out. Brian Hall is a personal injury attorney with minimal municipal government experience. For him to ignore Borough legal counsel and support this vote potentially exposing the Borough to a lawsuit unforgivable. No surprise Simpson and Stein changed their vote, both are so unprepared for meetings and will pander to anyone without understanding impact to budget or legal opinions. Davidson is nothing more than a snake who brings shame to anyone concerned about this issue. Can you believe he did not conspire with the FROGs to get the vote to swing their way? Can you believe he did not share confidential meeting notes with his wife?
At least Rhorhic and Roe had the guts to stand by the orignal agreement and not change to appease what may be the most hapless bunch of NIMBYs ever.

    1. 12 hours - almost to the minute - after the publishing of this story I cannot stop shaking my head in total and utter disbelief! I also read Media Patch and want to SHOUT big Thank Yous to Dawn Roe and Monika Rhorhic for truly standing up to what they believe to be what was right. I believe Mr Robinson was part of the 3 vote although we understand he too was leaning toward one lane one way. Still confused over the term "re-establish". To Mrs Mason Thank You for taking the initiative even if it was in the 11th hour to petition your neighborhood.
The more I type the sicker in my stomach I feel -

    2. WHEN (not IF) this goes to court the battle will be over the interpretation and intent of the 3 way agreement - which was, to restore (bringing back with identical integrity) the roadway to original condition. Therefore, previous members of Media council could be called upon to define the borough's intent of the agreement at the time of signing.
WHERE IS THE COUNTY?!?!?!?!? TIME TO STEP UP!
Also a big KUDOS here to Ms's Roe, Rhehoric, and Mason for speaking up big time.

  3. IT AIN'T OVER YET. BLCC HAS THE "COMPLAINT" written and ready to be filed in Del County Court House, according to knowledgeable sources. Upper Providence can, and should, close the road entirely at their boundary line. Then it will be a 1-Lane, 1-Way to No Where.

I want the name of the 3rd Street Bridge changed to "Roach Motel Bridge" as soon as it opens. With the names of its sponsors on a plaque. Think we can get a petition for that, Tedman? And I'm not kidding.

  5. The lyrics:

"You can checkout any time you like,
But you can never leave."--The Eagles/"Hotel California"

In Media with 1 Lane, 1 Way--you can check in, but you can't check out.

Great song. Just listened to it on YouTube.
