Shut down for over a month....with no warning.....Lame
Anonymous-When a business closes, it is very sad as the individuals who put blood, sweat, tears and cash into the business realized it couldnt remain open any longer. Whether the closing was a financial decision or due to personal reasons, it is sad. And I choose to give them a break for closing without a warning. It is not fair to call it "lame" I wish the owners luck in their future!
It must be borough council's fault.
No way! It's the FROGS. No wait, let's hear what Middletown Township council and UP council have to say on the matter. I heard RTM School Board is really upset this business has closed.

Was this business one in the same with the Heraldry shop? I went in there once asking if they had "Dairy Milk" which is a very well known type of Cadbury chocolate in the UK and Ireland, and the shop owner looked at me like I was insane. She thought I wanted milk from a cow! Every shop I have seen which specializes in products from the UK and Ireland carries Dairy Milk. I did not know which was worse, the fact the owner did not know what it was or that the shop did not sell it.
I can't say that I was a customer of The Tea Room but it is always sad when a place has to close the doors. To be a business owner takes a lot of guts and I respect anyone who is willing to give it a shot. Good luck to the owner and the former employees.
Word from Visit Media PA's Facebook page today is that House is expanding to take over this space. House will now occupy three store fronts at Jackson and Baker Streets. This should raise their profile. Their soups, sandwiches, and desserts are excellent.
