Transition Town Media Presents - International Permaculture Day Festival - May 5, 2013

International Permaculture Day Festival

May 5th is International Permaculture Day. Transition Town Media (TTM) is celebrating with a
family-friendly, fun-packed event at the Media Community Center, 301 N. Jackson St., Media,
PA, on Sunday, May 5th from noon-3 pm.

The day’s activities include a Potluck Lunch, fun, hands-on children’s activities, a talk about
Permaculture and its benefits by local landscaper, Paco Verin, and 2 short films that will be sure
to delight the kids. We'll also be hosting two swap tables - one for gardening supplies, tools,
and plants or seeds, and one for kids' toys & books. Weather permitting, we will include some
outdoor activities in the Tot Lot area.

The two films being featured are the work of local film-maker, Rich Hoffmann. The first is
a ‘sneak preview’ of Watermelon Magic, the story of a young girl on a farm who discovers the
joy of growing and sharing everyone’s favorite summer fruit. The film will have its real premier
later in the year. The second film is Fridays at the Farm, about his family’s adventures at a local,
organic farm, learning how their food grows.

This event is a fundraiser with a suggested donation of $10/person (kids under 9
free). Proceeds will be split between Rich Hoffmann and TTM. Please bring a healthy
dish to share and a gardening trowel if you can. For more information, contact us at
