Vandalism Report Filed with the Media Police for incident at Fourth and Lemon Streets

I was informed today that Broomall Lake Swim Club filed a vandalism report recently with the Media Police for an incident that included defacement of their property at the location of Fourth and Lemon Streets.

Should you see any suspicious activity,
please contact the Media Police by dialing 911.

  1. This is really getting petty. I understand BLCC put big boulders on what was a small (about 4 cars) parking area on 4th street. Tic for Tac the club comes out of this looking petty and vindictive. I spoke with some residents of fourth street and those who were leaning towards the club are now anti club. If I remember correctly the club would let some old dump truck park there. So what is the vandalism? Rocks moved. I am a member of BLCC and i find this move offensive and divisive to our community.

    1. This move by BLCC is a weak attempt to stick it to Paul Indorf. However, BLCC has overstepped their bounds here. Whether you think Indorf ia a hero or douche probably the latter he has a right to voice his opinion. However, the people of fourth street should not have to suffer for his opinions. The club has come up small here.

    2. How has BLCC overstepped? As the owner of the property BLCC should be allowed to do whatever it wants. Who will be responsible for any car parked on BLCC's property if it is damaged by an accident or tree limb falling.
Owners of private property have rights do not be so quick to dismiss them

    3. Media's socialists have a hard time comprehending private property, so it's useless to explain. Green is the new Red, if you know what I mean.

    4. This has nothing to do with Paul Indorf's ability or right to voice his opinion. God knows we hear him enough. It has to do with certain residents of Fourth street making the assumption that they are entitled (loose term) to leave their cars on private property. Rumsey and wife, Indorf and 'wife', all park their cars on this gravel and then abandon them. The same cars do not leave these spots for DAYS (what/when does this constitute abandonment of vehicle?), so no other residents could access them anyway. This is all in the name of trying to prove a point, having NOTHING to do with a respectable round robin of all 4th street residents having access to the spots. What is frustrating, is the opinions and assumptions that people posting here are making without knowledge of the continued harassment that these same individuals make day in and day out against BLCC. How many times have they called the borough manager, borough council, the DEP, etc and went so far as to camp out and wait to question a maintenance crew who was maintaining what was once a beautiful, historic lake. What gives these select few the right to pontificate their personal viewpoints of the ENTIRE region of west Media, and have Media's political elite cave in to them time and time again. Why are these individuals 'always right' and BLCC is 'always wrong'? If you seriously do not know the specifics, then DO NOT JUDGE!!!

    5. This has everything to do with residents and taxpayers lawfully using public property and not agreeing to pay for a shrinking, private lake.

Contacting public officials regarding a public park and a deteriorated, high hazard dam is not harassment. BLCC is 'always wrong' because they're rarely correct, as evidenced by public action.

  4. We don't even know what was reported. ATM is a decent forum for exchanging idea, but this whisper down the lane rumor is not very helpful to the community. It would be better if you obtained a copy of the police report before posting the "he said / she said" stuff. Just a suggestion.

  7. Sometimes it's difficult to tell where private property ends and the borough's road begins, if you know what I mean.

  8. Tedman, who or whom informed you?

  9. I hope BLCC consults with developers and builds town homes on Lemon St. Then the Boro will not be able to steal BLCC's property.

    3. Good luck adding a square inch of development to a flood plain with wetlands in it. 100% not happening in the current environmental regulatory environment.

  12. If Tedman were Mayor at least we could see a future for Media that would be at least as good as its past. I'm tired of this 'new-media' crap. I'm sorry, I just had to say it.

    1. Yeah, this town has really gone to the dogs in the last 20 years. It's gonna take the kind of leadership that Tedman Ohara shows on this website to make this the kind of town we want it to be!!
