  1. How else they going to pay for the $1,000,000 gifts they gave out and the unsecured loan for $1,500,000. Taxes next?!?

  3. $25 for an expired meter and only $50 for illegally parking in a handicap space? Media needs to lower the expired meter fees and raise the handicap parking fee.

  4. So this is how they are funding the library renovations. Classic liberal governing.

  8. How does Media figure this increase, when most of the meters on state street are broken? Or is that part of the plan? Hmm...........

  9. The reactions to this are nuts - there are so many options to alleviate your inability to pay the insanely low cost of parking in Media:

    1. Park outside of the metered areas and WALK.
    2. Pay your meter (why is this so difficult?).
    3. Park at Acme and take the trolley in.

Seriously, these reactions... they sounds so absurd!

  10. I like the idea of a "Media" lottery to pay for the pet projects. Or maybe a cigarette/liquor tax.

  12. Great way to attract more people to shop in Media! This might raise some revenue but I bet that the loss in business tax will more than offset the monies from the meter increase ...brilliant, as usual. Media residents open your eyes and stop being lemmings, it is time to make a serious change and elect people who truly care about the town and who have the brains and courage to do what is right, without regard to politics. PS...I am a Democrat but feel like my local Dems have deserted me.
