Media in Two Minutes

Media in Two Minutes

Tomorrow is the Media Food Drive

A lot of people had fun with this Meme yesterday
Make way for 28 town homes

Media on the Move.
Media FC:
Looks like Media FC is making arrangements to leave State Street.  I heard they may move to Chester but I don't know that for sure.  This was one retail store on State Street that people really liked.  Sorry to see them go.

Red Bud
They've only been here since May, but it looks like RedBud is making arrangement to move out of West Media on Baltimore Ave.  This is mostly due to the start of the upcoming town homes that are expected next year.  I hear there will be 28 new homes, but I can't see how that'll fit on the existing property.  BIG changes coming to the West End of town.

Bryn Mawr Running
They made an announcement over the weekend on their Facebook page, that they will be moving into their new location next week on Jackson Street.  There's no better place to buy running shoes than Bryn Mawr Running.  Heck, they even made a runner out of me!

Running at Night
I've almost been hit by cars a few times walking to work in broad daylight and at night, it's 10x worse.  In fact,  last year I bought a  NiteIze LED (~$6) band as most of the time drivers aren't paying attention especially at stop signs.

With many runners in Media, it's a good idea to check out some of this safety equipment.  I'd say most runners that come down 6th Street after sunset are not easy to see - and that's not good.  Check out Bryn Mawr Running who I'm sure can help you out.

Wegman's Opens in Concordville
This has been a long time in the making, but it's finally here!  Wegman's grand opening is today.  Are you a Wegmaniac?

  1. Re your comments on cars not paying attention to runners, although in slightly different vein, when will cyclists realize that they also are subject to the rules of the road? I try to be considerate of them as a car driver, but I constantly see them going straight through stop signs. It goes both ways!
