Media politicians can't even look after their own streets.

It was brought to my attention months ago that this blue car was sitting at the top of West Street with expired tags for weeks.  Months later, it still sits there.

Interesting enough Media Borough Councilwoman, Lisa Johnson who lives two doors down from this car has done nothing to address it.

  1. Upper Providence has a code that addresses this

Media Borough likely has the same code
Where is code enforcement working in hand with the police department ?

  2. You know what they say a good polictian gets the trashed picked up twice a week
While that gets done it's the little things that make a difference getting unregistered cars off streets is one of those things

    1. I'll add that the trash gets picked up by the borough employees who have no voice and are frequently
Miss treated by management thanks for putting up with their mismanagement and for continuing to do your job

  3. Nether Providence has code too about derelict cars. Nether providence ALSO doesn't bother to enforce that code. Threre are multiple derelicts on a single property here. A call to code enforcement a couple years ago got the reply, "Oh yea, we know about THAT street." No action apparent, but now there are multiple properties with derelict cars. Thanks, Nether Providence.

  4. Tedman thanks for making a difference in Media Borough while some people would be repulsed by this comment it seems we have a systemic problem of simple codes not being enforced and a indifferent response from both council and code enforcement
Many times no response at all, or the worst responding just to placate with no intention of doing anything !

  5. I reported this vehicle to the Media police about a month ago. After checking it out the officer told me it was legally parked and the registration and inspection were current. It is registered out of Chester. He said he couldn't do anything because everything is legal. I suspect the owner went to court and was hauled off to prison.

  6. Hmm, idea, resident parking permits, wait for it, in resident areas. 3 day temp pass to visitors. Philly, which isn't all that forward thinking, does something similar for their taxpaying residents.

    1. Do you really want to pay a TAX to park your car on your own street?

  7. Has the vin been recorded with the Media Police Dept ?
Cars like this could maybe be stolen, involved in a crime, or be impounded for lack of payment on car loan ?

  9. This is the perfect car to steal. It won't be reported stolen and all the paperwork is current. However, since it has been sitting since February it may need a jump.
