Media in Two Minutes

Penncrest Wins Media Bowl
It's not quite wining the Central league, but in these parts winning the Media Bowl is a pretty big deal.  Congratulations to the Lions for wining the game, which was a thriller down to the last play.

Boogaloo Vape Shop comes to 107 S. Monroe St.
Not really knowing what a vape store was, I stopped in last week to see what it was all about.

Vape Shop on Monroe St.
When you walk in, it kind of has a feel of a smoke shop with a couch, TVs, small bar with two chairs and a display counter of what looks like precision made metal pieces.  These are actually the vape
dispensers which are sometimes known as e-cigarettes.  What makes this so popular is that vaping replaces, or tries to, the need to smoke actual tobacco products.  It's done by using electronic devices to vaporize a liquid that people inhale and exhale, much like smoking, but without the harmful affects.

I believe I spoke to Shawn who is the owner and a really nice guy.  He went on to tell me that vaping is meant to get people to quit smoking and not intended for newcomers trying something 'cool' who haven't smoked cigarettes before.

What to expect for the Pope visit?  I don't know!
Despite a lot of preparation and information posted on the upcoming Pope visit this week, I'm not sure what to expect as I don't have much to compare it to.  Perhaps it'll be something similar to the the Phillies World Series parade a few years back - the closer you get to Philadelphia the more inconvenienced you should expect to be.

As for our area, it looks like business as usual.  RTMSD will operate on their  normal schedule, but Septa and travel into the city will be a challenge.  Here's a good page provided by the county that lists a lot of good information.

Food, Wine, Beer vs Eagles Game
There's only one event I know that could possibly compete against a late afternoon Eagles vs Dallas game, and that's the West Chester Restaurant Festival.  With a Beer and Wine garden, along with live entertainment, this is definitely worth checking out early.
