Amy Johnson and Lisa Johnson denied primary nomination by their party |
The letter goes on to question loyalty, progressive values and unity/continuity the group feels is best served by Amy and Lisa. It also raises concern about a "policy of confidentiality" regarding the endorsement decision process by the Media Democrats.
"If this news is confusing to you, we understand. Many Democrats in Media are puzzled. Since the Media Democratic Committee has a policy of confidentiality about the endorsement decision process, no one actually knows the reason why they failed to endorse two green, progressive Democratic women incumbents."
In their place, the Media Democrats have nominated Lin Axamethy Floyd and Kenneth P. Huppman, who are two newcomers to the Media political scene.
HA! Brain Hall kicked his own neighbor to the curb. Betrayal is best served with tofu!
ReplyDeleteFeminists fighting feminists over who is more of a feminist. What a town, Media.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, did Republicans nominate anyone for Borough Council? Is it still too late to run?
ReplyDelete"Hate Has No Home Here." Unless you were snubbed by the Media Dems, then there's plenty of liberal hate to go around. BAWHAHAHAHAAAAAAA
ReplyDeleteThat is a perfectly reasonable letter. I see no hate or finger pointing. It's an endorsement letter questioning the boards nominations. The only vitriol I read are in the comments. Nothing is going to change that attitude no matter how its presented.
ReplyDeleteIt's the gift that keeps on giving, Clark!
ReplyDeleteOne of the committee members said both Amy and Lisa were undecided when asked, so they moved on. The person also said they weren't happy with Amy's management of farmers market and it was a tough choice as Dixon is their weakest candidate.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't help matter when Councilman Robinson got loud with Terry Rumsey recently over the continue saga of the third street bridge. Apparently Paul told him to get over it. Terry signed the letter that was circulated supporting Lisa and Amy.
Please expand on "Councilman Robinson getting loud with Terry Rumsey"
DeleteWho do you think chains themself to a tree first to STOP the 3rd St. Construction? RUMSEY OR DAVIDSON
A lot of that is true, but it's deeper than that. Kent Davidson was blamed for the Third Bridge fiasco and was pushed out by the dems years ago.
DeleteWho knew that there were so many TROLLS in Media?
ReplyDeleteWhen one party controls everything this is what happens yes in fighting within the same party
DeleteThe yard signs say it all but they should just be more blunt and say -
Not my president or in this this not my councilwoman
To say Amy and Lisa were lackluster during their four years would be extremely generous. They won't be missed. Give the other two a chance.
ReplyDeleteHeard people at 320 Market talking about this at lunch. What a tire fire.
ReplyDeleteConfused Democrats.....yup sounds about right.
ReplyDeleteThe democrats rid the elections of republicans and then turned on one another. It's a lot like how socialism progresses, which in turn becomes a dictatorship.
ReplyDeleteAmy and Lisa are foolish to think they'll be welcomed back by the Media Dems after pulling this stunt. They may as well add Kent Davidson and Terry Rumsey to the ticket and make it a real race, as there's no going back. A somewhat decent candidate could join them and pick off the mayor's seat too.
Imagine, the eco-socialism or green on the outside, red on the inside watermelon political structure this town wants so badly. With a little thought and organizational structure, they could do very well linking up with groups like Middletown Coalition for Safety ME2 and others to win local races.
So it goes in such a small town it's very difficult to hides one's bias -those that live near the 3rd street bridge of course selfishly wanted a one way street and did a good job brow beating media borough although you have a couple of millionaires that live around third street bridge it takes more then pounding pavement to hold a project up for many many years, money helps a lot. Media boroughs local govt members and their handling of the bridge / dam project is embarrassing
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked at how well Media is doing, but wonder how great Media could be with the right leadership. It's apparent the mayor, council members, and Democratic machine know they aren't being held accountable by the voters. A majority of Media voters pull the D-lever and believe that a ridiculous sign in their front yard makes them intellectually superior to any opposing ideas and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThe Democrats won the Media election get over it...
ReplyDeleteCVP usually responds to comments like this with a failed list of media borough democrats failed projects
DeleteYes the election was won but the wasted money just compounds
The shareows sounds like another waste of money grant or no grant it won't make biking in media any safer
Don't forget the cool 1 to 2 MILLION DOLLARS council gave the library that WILL NEVERVBE PAID BACK. but hey what's a couple mill between entitled dems and their pet projects
DeleteThanks I guess the library ball didn't solve that finance problem
DeleteIt is amazing no voice of reason is ever expressed in this town because of the one party system in media
Who is the underwriter on the debt ?
