Thought a lot of progress has been made over the last three months, the project still has another two years to go before completion. The reasons for that include scheduling, design and construction which will allow for a two-way roadway, which was what it was before it was closed.
Quote from Media Council President Brian Hall Oct. 2012
"...Re-establish does not mean that things go back the same way," Hall said at the September meeting. "It just means that you bring something into being again."
It's unfortunate that current Media Borough officials were found in contempt of court over this matter, mostly due to Brian Hall not understanding the definition of "Re-establish". With gridlock descending on Media due to unprecedented development, this roadway will provide a much needed route in and out of the borough.

What was the legal bill for Brain Hall's failed attempt to restablish a two lane roadway ?
ReplyDeleteIt was over $300,000
ReplyDeleteThat's unforgivable and what was brian halls experience with arguing land use, riparian water rights, and dealing with Penndot ?
ReplyDelete'Anonymous' if it doesn't reestablish the former 2-way road residents enjoyed for 60+ years, what exactly is the point of a one-way street? It was used mostly for courthouse & attorneys to depart media, not drag race into town to annoy residents living on West End Road.
ReplyDeleteOne way roadway- the key point
DeleteBrian Hall's very arrogant failed attempt to have a one lane roadway
Hey genius, here's the definition of reestablish: bring back into original existence, use, function, or position. Any yet no one else on borough council knew what reestablish meant?
ReplyDeleteThat was the 300,000 question
DeleteI guess the contempt of court ruling for Brian Hall was justified
I'm not even a member of broomall lake
DeleteBut I want to see if I can attend the party being thrown for something finally happening with this project
what happened to all the fish ?
ReplyDeleteThe turtles were moved but the fish
DeleteHad to find their own way or perish according to the DEP report on the dam breach
Any updates on the fish? I'm curious as well.
DeleteNot sure, but I saw some fat and happy birds
DeleteTo counterbalance the volume of criticism, I'd like to put down a marker of having been, and remaining, in favor of a one way into town only traffic pattern on that bridge. It would have solved the issue of folks turning left onto Baltimore Pike from Ridley Creek Road while preventing people working in the borough from drag racing down 3rd Street. Lemon Street, and/or West Street to avoid Baltimore Pike traffic and/or DUI checkpoints.
ReplyDeleteIf I drive down 3rd St.or ANY other boro stree I WON'T be racing. ..I obey speed limits. .another lame excuse..to have a private style road..perhaps guy Media could post his proximity to the" reestablished " bridge
DeleteI don't think people are drag racing down Third Street! There are stop signs at every intersection to deter speeding and provide safety. A two-way street is what belongs there.
DeletePam, that's a sweet comment
DeleteBut we have a group of citizens that have commandeered local politics and
Have made the issue way too personal
And biased because of where they all live
Hey guy 300 k is a lot of money to wager
ReplyDeleteWith a lawyer who seemingly had a weak case to begin with
For 300 k we could a pocket park adjacent to the dam on 3rd street
