Third Street Bridge Discussion tonight at 7pm Borough Hall

The third street bridge has been big news in 2011, because unlike the last decade of incompetency, it's now getting fixed.  Despite years of inaction and finger-pointing, Media is now seeing what leadership looks like.

Tonight there will be one last meeting on design and layout of the bridge.  Some are against it, some for a bike path, but many in support of the overall repair of what Penn Dot has categorized as one of the 10 most dangerous dams in the State.  I understand the passion behind each position, but am glad to see people presenting ideas of what would make this situation better.

Leadership matters and so does the commitment some of our elected leaders have towards getting infrastructure projects done for the community.  It's been through Pete Alyanakian and the bipartisan leadership that we're now talking about what it will look like and NOT how it will be paid for or if it will ever be fixed.
