Media does a lot of things right, but one aspect that really shines is the community spirit shown towards the yearly Tug McGraw Foundation held at the Plumstead Inn. This is the 7th annual event which has raised tens of thousands of dollars in the name of a local hero and for a serious cause, brain cancer research.
This town is quite lucky to have people like organizer Dominic Marra and Plumstead owner, Chuck Margis along with others who have dedicated their time, effort and facilities to help others. Local writer and organizer, Lauren Avellino Turton had a great write-up of the event.
