Main Line Today Magazine did a photo shoot recently of local
area veteran’s. Here in Media, we had 7 veterans proudly represented. I happen to know of a few
of them, but one in particular, John “Jackie” Heavens, I know quite well and
lives on my street. Jackie
recently retired from the Media Highway Department and has lived in Media all
his life. An active member of the Media
VFW, Jackie without fail helps to organize the wreath placements at the Media
Wall of Honor and Courthouse steps on Memorial Day.
