At some point you're going to need a good mechanic, tailor and barber. Luckily, you can find all of them in Media, but one that has just arrived on the scene may set the standard for cutting hair. Last weekend, I swung by the newly opened Robertson's Barber Shop located on N. Olive and Jasper Street to find Mark putting the final touches on his new business.
I like authenticity and both Mark and his shop have it. The inside looks great with more of a manly decor than what Media is usually accustomed to when it comes to salons. Check it out! At $16 a cut it's one of the more reasonable places in town.
Welcome to Media!
Do they do straight razor shaves?
ReplyDeleteHot Lather and Straight Razor used for the finish work on every haircut. Primo! Feels Great
ReplyDeleteAre you the same Mark who used to own a shop in Broomall?

DeleteJust got a great haircut and shave. My new barber shop now. Thank you Mark.
ReplyDeleteI've seen their advertisements at State and Olive Streets with their transformations. Gives me a chuckle every morning.
ReplyDeleteJust got my hair cut there. Mark did a great job!
ReplyDeleteAfter being urged on by this posting, I walked into town today in order to ge a haircut. The barber shop's posted hours had them opening at 9:00. I arrived a little early, but walked around town to kill some time. I checked in at 9:05...nothing...9:15....nothing.... At 9:20 I found the sign to say that they were open, so I went in. I was the only one in there...no other customers. No barbers. Just me. I sat and waited unti 9:28, but remained alone. At that point, I got fed up and just left. If this is the type of customer service that they will bring to Media, they can just leave now.
ReplyDeleteHello Mr. Anonymous. A thousand apologies but being a 1 man show at the moment leaves me little room to wiggle. I ran out of hot lather and needed to get some before I opened the day you arrived. Call me at 610-228-0363 for a special gift. I'll make things right.
DeleteHad a *great* haircut here the other day that's still holding up. Friendly, efficient service! I'll be going back.
ReplyDeleteThe worst experience of my life I went to the shop several times for a cut and no barber then when I finally tracked him down he said he was to busy so I found a new barber that isn't wandering all over media and actually works terrible
