Philly Beer Week in Media - June 6th!

6/2 Update: Here's a link for all your drinking please during Beer Week:

Not sure why it's called "Beer Week" in Media when it's only one day, but that's what I'm told. Come Thursday, June 6th you'll get to taste what beer is all about with samples provided that day by Long Trail Draft throughout the bars in Media.

Ok, so it's not what I would call "ground breaking," as far as events go in Media, so that's why we had the lovely and talented Jen at Sligo Pub do a modeling shot for us, who is ground breaking.  Thanks, Jen!

  2. How can the media dems ruin this one? How about they enforce that fair trade nonsense on beers sold this week?

    1. 1) Way to make this political. Totally called for I'm sure. Maybe you can claim no beer is in town because Kent Davidson pushed the truck off of the 3rd Street Bridge.

      2) Because I believe in evolution, I have faith that you can evolve from a troll into a human. Why don't you lean some things about fair trade:

    2. No bigger troll than you, MM. A truck off the bridge would give us more structural support there than 17 years of substandard conditions. Then again, your bleeding heart cohorts would complain about the oils leaking into the water , through the plastic pipes into the 'natural' lake in the park.

As long as dopes vote for letters over people and defend blatant conflicts of interests, nothing's off the table. And as far as I'm concerned, 'Fair Trade' is nothing more than an overly liberal movement to make people feel good about buying vastly overpriced goods. Oh, and lets remember the wildly successful fair trade concert featuring the dignified scents of armpit odor and cannabis along state street.

    3. When I grew up in Media we used to just park over a sewer and change our oil, no nuss no fuss. What little I got on my hands I'd run through my hair like brylcreem, and the ladies loved it. Then I'd go downtown and get a cup of coffee for a dime, picked by slave laborers in the Congo who probably wouldn't have been alive if it weren't for me.

As years went on I was forced to buy cars with seatbelts, and now gasbags, or whatever you call them. I took one of my grandkids for a ride last week and a cop pulled me over, told me you can't have a toddler on your lap in the car. Madness, I tell you!

The nerve of these people. It's a shame my house is worth so much, I wish I was underwater like most of the rest of the country so I couldn't afford to leave.

    4. Ha! We need more real people in this town. I enjoyed that last big comment. Can you change my oil on the Third St. Bridge? Fix that darn St. already. Make it two ways like it onCe was.

    5. I think the over entitled liberals commenting on this article missed the point that the pond in the park is no more natural than broomall's lake, yet wildlife tends to flourish in both.

    6. How about a truly hometown homebrew, something distinctly Media, something that expresses our sense of local history and tradition. I'm thinking of something soothing but slightly dangerous here, something alluring but forbidden, something that conjures sweet memories of long summer days past and ladies in neck-high bathing suits....

How about a beer brewed from the dank, condemned waters of Broomall's lake!?! We could have a picture of a fountain on the label, with the cluhouse in the background. All we need to think of is a name...any suggestions, ATM'ers?
