Bizarre incident at last night's Media Borough Council Meeting

Nobody goes to a borough council meeting for the sheer excitement of it, but that's not to say peculiar things don't happen from time to time.  At last night's Media Borough Council meeting a resident decided he had had enough.  Displeased with what he thought was a poor investigation by the Media Police regarding the death of his cat, he decided to present a rather bizarre exhibit to support his allegation.   Claiming his cat was poisoned, he came in and sat down in the front row with the dead cat under his arm to plead his case.  Not amused, borough council eventually called for police assistance, but not before a few words were had outside by this resident and a member of borough council. I'm not sure what happened from there.

This was the same person who was arrested in May of 2012 over an argument with a Broomall Lake (BLCC) representative regarding  the Third Street Bridge.  Apparently BLCC was also accused by this resident for the demise of his cat.

  1. Had taxidermy been performed on the cat since it had expired prior to May '12?

    1. I might accuse Tedman and the local Republican gang of being many things, but a liar isn't one. People, with good cause, can get very upset when a pet dies suddenly.

There enough existing issues for debate around here that I seriously doubt this story is planted. It really sounds like a shame on many levels.

  4. Losing a pet due to suspected foul play is heartbreaking. Poisoning animals is a crime, isn't it?

  5. More an SPCA matter than a police matter, and certainly not a Borough Council matter. If this is true, one must question the faculties of the cat owner.

    1. So police do not get involved in animal matters? If, God forbid, my dog was intentionally killed, I would go to the SPCA?

  6. I believe the story and have contacted the Media Police because I just solved the murder.... the cat committed suicide after figuring who it's owner was. meow.......

  7. A bizarre incident would have been if these clowns actually got something done. Hell, anything at this point

  8. Tedman, thank you for providing a mental picture of said individual carrying a dead cat to borough council. I haven't laughed so hard in years. To be clear, not laughing at cat's demise (I have 2 myself and love them dearly) but at the sheer absurdity of this person. Cat probably got hold of some lethal plant growing in Glen Providence Park.....or agreeing with Anon. 10:41 that 'cat-icide' was the culprit.

  9. People that harm animals should burn in Hell. When did the cat die, Paul? Unless it is stored in the freezer, a cat will deteriorate rather quickly. Sad to lose an animal. Adopt another cat from PAWS, and make sure it is a "Inside" cat.

  10. Not sure of why someone would do that. But the discussion of cats roaming free needs to be had. Dog owners must leash license and clean up after their pets. Meanwhile cats can piss, poop and hang out on neighbours property attack Birds at the feeder.Feral cats also have become a nuisance in many communities.cats running loose are also a non native species wiping out millions of songbirds and other
species.they also pose a health hazard. If dogs gathered in groups like feral cats they would be rounded up and carted off to the pound.cats are often abandonded because they know people feed them cat ownership by
proxy.like it was stated earlier keep your house cat on your property. Pretty sick of someone to do such a thing if it is true but the issue of cats needs to be addressed trap neuter and release is a scam maybe we should do it with pitbulls too.

Why is there is no such thing as feral dogs?

    1. Here is an explanation------- Nutbag lives on 4th St. likes to terrorize town everyone laughs.
Until one day Nutbag really goes off and people get hurt. This is what happened in august in Ross Twp Pa.

At least three people were shot dead tonight when a gunman allegedly opened fire at a town council meeting in Ross Township, Pa., according to the Associated Press.

At least two other people were injured in the shooting, which happened around 7:30 p.m., officials said.

Who knows what this guy will do next. Frightening

  12. Should we arrest Nutbag now, before he does something. Don't think so.

    1. Yes, arrest him. "Sentence first--verdict afterwards," someone smart once said.

  13. Before he does something? ....sentence first---verdict afterwards?
If this is the same person he has already been before Judge Klien in District court for animal abuse for beating a dog on State St. last year. Now he shows up to a public meeting with a dead cat.
Why don't we wait till he really hurts someone then everyone say...."wow didn't see that coming"....
Check his back story why he left Chicago he's a bad dude.

  14. Bad dude was in George W. Hill prison for a few days last year after an incident outside a Media Borough Council meeting. Things are starting to pile up.

  15. "Before he does something?" He already assaulted a local businessman after a previous borough council meeting because the businessman had a differing opinion on a topic - he was incarcerated for a period of time because he couldn't post bond.
Nutbag has already done many many things...........................get him off the streets!

  16. Nothing about the cat in the Daily Times. Have to talk with Council people. Hope this isn't all make up.
