“Join Cub Scouts” Nights Planned
For May 15
Boys and Their Families
Are Invited to Join the Fun
On Thursday, May 15, local Cub Scout packs
will be offering elementary-age boys and their families the opportunity to join
the adventure of Scouting at locations throughout Philadelphia, Montgomery and
Delaware Counties.
Cub Scouting is for boys who are currently in
kindergarten through fourth grade. The program combines outdoor activities,
sports, academics, and more in a fun and exciting environment that helps
families teach values including honesty, good citizenship, and respect. Last
year, more than 16,500 young people participated in Scouting throughout the
Delaware Valley.
From 6 to 8 PM on May 15, the following
locations will host “Join Cub Scouts” events in the local area:

Chic-fil-A Granite Run Mall, 1067 West Baltimore Pike, Media. Boys who
sign up for Scouting that evening will receive a small cone.
·
Rita’s Ice, N Providence Road & Baltimore Pike, Media. Boys who sign up for
Scouting that evening will receive a small ice.
·
Bruster’s Ice Cream, 3630 Concord Road, Aston. Boys who sign up
for Scouting that evening will receive a small cone.
·
Sweet Frog Premium Frozen Yogurt, Concordville Town Centre, 600 Town Centre
Drive, Glen Mills. Boys who sign up for Scouting that evening will receive a
small yogurt cup.
·
Baskin Robbins, 1 South Chester Road, Swarthmore, Boys who
sign up for Scouting that evening will receive a small cone.
·

New Cub Scouts
will also have the chance to attend the Cub Scout Carnival at Musser Scout
Reservation in Pennsburg on June 7 or 8 for half price. Activities include
archery, fishing, boating, cooking demos, and much more. Parents and siblings
may also attend for a great day of affordable family fun.
Local Scout leaders will be on-site at each
location to answer questions about Scouting, share information about upcoming
summer day camps, overnight camps and other upcoming events and assist parents
and guardians in the registration process.

Scouting groups in their area including programs for older youth—Boy Scouting
for boys ages 11-18 and Venturing for young men and women in high school and
