A great idea for affordable housing in Media, PA

Well worth the read on a concept to bring affordable housing to the market.  There would be a lot of interest in Media to do something similar.  Especially at under $400, per unit.

  4. There's plenty of affordable housing along the riverfront that has a soccer stadium and casino not too far from here. Media doesn't need to be affordable to everyone, even if it's everyone's Hometown.

  5. It's always interesting to see how some people like to use code words for racism. Anon 3:58 says Media is "everyone's Hometown," but then suggests that people who need affordable housing should move to Chester -- although he won't come out and say the word "Chester." Media has always been a diverse community in many ways, long before this condescending writer came here. Did it ever occur to you that this might be a great option for senior citizens who may want to downsize, because they no longer need, or struggle to pay the property taxes on their homes? I guess you want them all to move to Chester too -- after supporting this community and its school district for many years? Here's a suggestion: why don't YOU move to Chester?

  6. Race is only relevant to simpletons and people thousands of years ago who threw feces at each other. Chester has affordable housing and Media does not. Why create an artificial environment, does it benefit the people who worked very hard in life to live in an area with lower crime, better schools, etc.? It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with people who share common values and who aren't dependent on someone else providing a better life for them through subsidies and government intervention. Media is everybody's hometown and nobody is stopping anyone from living here.
