Two good ideas to bring more volunteers to serve at our local Fire Departments
Media faces a lack of firefighters. NBC interviews South Media and other departments in the area. Are tax incentives or help with college tuition possibilities to lure community volunteers? It may be a good start.

The last generation of volunteer firefighter is all but gone. We should be thinking about how to fund a paid department and stop fantasizing about attracting volunteers for the future. We're only kidding ourselves.
