Philadelphia Plumbers Union biggest campaign contributor by far in local elections including Rose Tree Media School Board, Middletown and Upper Providence
Based on a campaign finance report filed last week, the Mid-County Democrats have received two contributions within 6 months totaling $20,000 from Philadelphia Plumbers Union Local 690. One received on 4/17/17 and a second on 9/11/17. Local 690 from Philadelphia is by far the single biggest contributor towards the upcoming local elections from either party.

Don't see any of the incumbent canidates signs here in media for obvious reasons. Please give everyone a bio on the current candidates and why they should keep there positons
ReplyDeleteThe Philly unions will pay $20,000 for a school board that probably has a yearly budget of $85,000,000. Not even candidate Kevin Madden can get that kind of return on investment. See how it's done, son?
ReplyDeleteGreat seeing locals contributing to local causes, and not out of town money pushing foreign interests in our township.
ReplyDeletePhilly bosses coming into Media is no way a 'local cause'....do we want the likes of Seth Williams, Chaka Fattah, Bob Brady's minions and so many more coming into our school district?? I do NOT need nor want any of these crooked influences representing in my town.
DeleteI agree however we all have been through well it time to reinterpret for
DeleteYour job whether your R or D or other
Let's see what the incumbent canidates
Have to offer can't say the advent of philly union bosses in our schools is a good thing. I see lots of construction in Aston at the Delaware County Techinical school which is a good thing
But don't need philly politicians mucking around Media, Edgemont, Middletown, Thornbury, and
Mcmayonville aka Media
I'm stating the obvious -- but you are clearly a republican endorsing only R candidates. which is your right as you run this blog.... Did you state the obvious that Delco Council and school board has been straight Republican run for almost 40 years? or was that info not on your radar?
ReplyDeleteAnd good that they are - at least they are NOT financed by crooked union bosses trying to infiltrate our way of life. Let's keep it that way for 40 more!!
DeleteI left Local 690 because its not about the worker, it's about them. Ask any union member how much BS they have to go through and it's all the same story. Most union constitutions consider any attempt by a member to secede from the union—including on an individual basis—a punishable offense that can result in steep fines and even termination of employment.
ReplyDeleteThe candidates that took this money have no idea who you sold out to.
Troubling to say the least. Looks like the Upper Prov DJ candidate Goldberg's campaign is funded by Philly unions. Talk about bought and paid for!
ReplyDeleteSurprised Kristin is mixed up in this.
ReplyDeleteThe impotent level of concern trolling over a donation from an organization who has members that live in the county is really quite funny.
ReplyDeleteThe spider is bringing the flies into its web...and they are in complicit denial. They lie to themselves that the donations are from a pure heart. Little do they know, when the time is right this will be one ugly IOU they have written. Why hasn't it struck these people that someone outside of their own neighborhood has ulterior motives? Is this the decision making capabilities we want overseeing our taxes and our children's education? The only positive that could come would be increased enrollment in private schools. Soon as it does, time to vote Yes for vouchers.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Anon 7:27!
