#delco #mediapa @amazon Amazon narrows search for HQ2 to 20 metro areas. Philadelphia was one of them which technically might include Chester, DELCO.https://t.co/LJoNzFx2O3 pic.twitter.com/4Eem1kBduL— All Things Media (@mediapanews) January 18, 2018
What a shame! Amazon got millions of dollars’ worth of marketing information from the hundreds of cities that submitted proposals for free. I would be surprised if they ever open a second headquarters. I wonder if the city of Philadelphia checked to see if Amazon pays their employees a minimum of $15/hour, or provides 7 sick days, does NOT check their imigration status, or asks potential employees if they have been arrested, all things the city require from other companies already working in the city. Our politicians bribe these companies to come here with our money.

ReplyDeleteThey singled out Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, MD in their top 20. Philadelphia does not mean maybe Chester.
