Important "Possible" Zoning Amendments

Perhaps you conveniently found this upcoming Media Borough Zoning announcement on page 38 or the Daily Times (if it's even there).  If not, here it is concealed under "Possible Zoning Ordinance Amendments on Baltimore Avenue" on the borough's website.

Why is it that Media's elected officials can't communicate these important zoning announcements in an effective manner?  Remember the "Spot Zoning" meeting back in September 2017?  Anyway, Media Borough use it's social media platforms for restaurant week, dog license notifications, pot-luck dinners, etc; but clearly not for important zoning updates.  WHY?

It's certainly not an oversight.  You can't tell me all seven councilmembers including the mayor were just too busy to send out a statement on the upcoming meeting, let alone explain it in any detail or context.  #transparency

  3. These people should have been walked out of the borough building when they lost the $650,000 for the bridge.

  4. Hard for them to no to someone like Khan
While residentsl housing might be a good idea for the town house site the manner in which The mayor, the solictor, the borough manager is not transparent in any way

  6. I've seen better problem solving and critical thinking from five year olds than these people. If you've seen a council meeting on the local channel, you'll see what I mean.

  9. I'd suggest folks read the entire document before commenting. There are some excellent zoning rule changes to really protect the quality of the Baltimore Pike corridor here.

    1. Media borough routinely doesn't notify residents of project starting even to adjacent homeowners
Changes that can affect home values. Also allowing some people to build something yet telling others your not allowed to do that
Burying it in page 38 of the Daily Times and purposely not using the multipe communication resources they have at their disposal doesn't bode well for Media Borough really disappointed in Media Borough if the changes are so good please enlighten all of us

    1. Media Borogh and the staff of same seems to have made a habit of
Misrepresenting projects and project zoning in order to bend the rules to there advantage
      Many times just telling you
"Well you could speak with an attorney"

  11. What is with all the new massive buildings that are too large for the scale of our traditional home town and so close to the street? Why are they allowed to spend tons of money for consultants to dream up all this development? And then create this zoning to permit it?

    1. This is true of residentsl housing
As well in media borough developers and homeowners seem to do as they please but of course it matters who you are or what your business is, Media borough likes to bend zoning rules for residents or business deemed friendly to media borough yet stonewalls others and can't give proper notifications to residents prior to major home additions in the borough makes you wonder
What else isn't above board with Media Borough officials
