There have been chain restaurant/eateries on State Street in the past (Subway, Boston Market, Cold Stone Creamery), but those were before Media's restaurant renaissance had taken place over the last few years. You could say Iron Hill is now a chain, but when they first arrived in Media in the 90's that was their third store.
This week a banner was posted indicating that Kung Fu Tea is coming to State Street soon. From what I can tell from their website, this looks to be a moderately big corporation with franchises throughout the world. I've never heard of the company until this week, nor have ever tried bubble tea, but it'll be great to have the location occupied.
I have no recollection of Boston Market in Media, where was it?
ReplyDeleteIt was a storefront to the left of where Sligo currently is. Not sure exactly which address, but it was back in the 1990s.
DeleteIt was where the McDonalds at the granite run mall.

ReplyDeleteBoston Market (it was Boston Chicken then) was in the Acme shopping center. I worked there when it first opened. I don't remember it ever being on State Street (but I could be wrong)
ReplyDeleteWhen is the Kung Fu tea in Media PA officially opening? Also, do you think they'll be hiring 16 year olds?
