Great to see people getting involved with the ideas they have for the community. Borough Council Candidate, Michael Straw recommends proclamation for Pride Month at last night's boro meeting.

At yesterday night's Council meeting Mr. Straw, a Republican candidate for Borough Council requested that Media Borough celebrate pride month in 2019 by including a proclamation in its June agenda. Straw, who is openly gay, said that he thought it would be nice to recognize the LGBTQ community and Pride Month in 2019

  2. Republicans recognizing the gay community, interesting concept. Perhaps we are finally starting to see this going away as an issue. Regardless this is a wonderful idea and kudos to Straw for requesting this. He's certainly giving me something to think about for November.

    1. If you watched any of the previous council meetings you'd find he's a pretty sharp fellow, even in the meeting this post is talking about he had important questions about the Olive St. Parking Deck. Sure he didn't have to talk about his sexuality, but it ties nicely to why he wanted to ask for a proclamation for Pride Month. Good for him. I'll be voting for him tomorrow!

    1. This is actually great for us. This guy likely hates the "hate has no home" signs, a man who likely has opposing views to those individuals who is a part of society that they claim to be standing up for with those ridiculous signs.

  12. He's correct, but still massively unworthy of support as a candidate. His supports clearly ID Straw as part of their MAGA group. No thanks.

    1. This article clearly contradicts the idea of him being a "maga" supporter. I think that twitter handle wants to support Republicans in general, no one can stop people from tweeting so your excuse seems petty.
