Philly News outlets to cover Thursday's Borough Council Meeting

With a pending vote by Media council on Thursday regarding the decision on Third St. Bridge; news organizations are aware of how important this decision is.  Philly Fox News is expected to cover the event and at least another news station as well.

So if you can't attend the council meeting and don't want to wait to watch it on the news, check back here for the outcome of the vote.

  1. No matter what happens, they will report how we wasted millions of dollars and 16 years of political crap. Not a good advertisement for Media.

  2. Why does Media Borough Councilman Kent Davidson still have a blog
in the Daily Times? The guy is so layered with conflict of interest matters on the 3rd Street Bridge, like signing a petition for a greenway, he can't even report on it as a new item.

  3. Not a good advertisement for Media but it is the reality of the situation. They will also be covering the project from a County and State standpoint as that is where the funding is coming from. It will look bad for Senator Pillegi, that his transportation grant he provided may be funding a greenway that provides no transportation or commerce what so ever. How many other towns/cities are in need of transportation improvements and Media has just pissed away hundreds of thousands of dollars?

I hope they follow Kent Davidson home after his vote for a greenway and film how close his house is to this project so they can see how unethical his decision was/is going to be. Perhaps his next vote will be for a walking path to connect his house to the greenway.

    2. Couldn't agree more - abstention from voting would certainly lessen the potential of being labeled any number of names!
Can you imagine, heaven forbid, if Media Fire Co needed back up from Upper Prov Fire Company for anyone living in or near "that section of town" and they could not get there as quickly as possible because the road that was a road and now is not forced emergency equipment to come by way of Orange St. Does the cliché "time is of the essence" mean anything???

  4. Fear not they will come up with something that has not been discussed yet like a one way street and sneak it through on Thursday night claiming that is all they could do. Whatever they come up with will demonstrate the total lack of leadership and ethics people expect from elected officials. If Davidson votes it will validate how much of a hypocrite and how unethical he is. He makes Simpson look ethical with his behavior and demeaner.

  5. Fox News Van was at 3rd and West streets last Thursday and one frog was being interviewed and Terry Rumsey was in line. Another camera was taking video of Third Street.

  6. The master politician on West Street still runs the show in Media.
Paul, Brian, Eric, Kent and Monica are just stooges. The new Council had to pass a litmus test--signing the petition for the greenway--just to be on the Democratic ticket.

No damn traffic is going down West Street while the Master lives--and rules.

    1. Wrong as can be. Ronald McDonald runs Media. The FROGS will meet there for a Big Mac Thursday night.

    2. If Paul, Brian, Eric, Kent and Monica are "just stooges", what does that make Dawn and Monika? And who is the mystery "Master Politician".... Pete Alyanakian!?
