Citibank announces closure of bank branch in Media

Media's Citibank branch to close in March 2013

Yesterday’s news of Citibank’s cutback of 11,000 employees will also have an impact locally here in Media.  In addition to the layoffs, Citibank will also be exiting their suburban business model and will be closing 84 branches, one of which will be Media's.  This branch is expected to be closed in March 2013.  Customer will be asked to use the nearest branch in center city at 18th and Market.

  2. I used to bank there and I took my money out because Citi helped crash the economy.

  3. Ally Bank online is great! No brick and mortar overhead so interest rates on everything!

  5. 2 Banks 1 Hamburger eatery all gone in less than 2 months. It would seem to me the Borough - Council - would welcome an established business like WaWa!

    1. There is already a plan for a Wawa with gas station to be build at the corner of Providence Road and Baltimore Pike.
It would be nice to get a franchise eatery in place of Citibank.
