Proposed Wawa for Media, PA |
If you read the article you'll notice it parallels closely to what happened here in Media. You'll also notice that the majority of people in that town wanted a Super Wawa.
Ok, some might find the video a little raw, but if you can help me find a passionate, community video of "We Want a Dollar Store," or "We Want a Walgreens," or even, "We Want Borough Council to be ANTI-Business!" I'll consider posting it.
Great video streaming about Wawa. Funny and to the point. You get both sides.
ReplyDeleteAgain, the governments picking winners and losers. RIP prosperity. Once you people wake up and realize how many tax dollars and jobs the Media Boro council put under the guillotine with the axed Wawa proposal, you'll realize that governments don't add value to the free market system.
DeleteI know Haliburton,Boeing,Grumann get nothing from the Govt.
DeleteDont forget all the tax funded sand put on beaches or airports air traffic control etc..free market is going to ante up to pay for these?
All the more reason not to have WaWa. All these communities can't be wrong.
ReplyDeleteWawa blows and we all know it. Funny they use thug type guys to enhance their weak product. All the surrounding towns are onto them and say no Wawa. media was right to say no.
ReplyDeletePretty lame video about Wawa in Conshy. It is starting to look like Wawa is not welcome in many towns.
ReplyDeleteMedia, Conshy, and Edgmont cannot all be in some type of conspiracy to mess with Wawa and the residents of their respective municipalities. Wawa, although I often patronize their stores, needs to conform their building plans to the character of each community in which they’d like to build a store. Wawa cannot be allowed to just place a store anywhere they’d like and then tell the municipalities to own the consequences when it comes to the ancillary infrastructure improvements. Wawa needs to be careful that another chain doesn't decide to be more conforming in their approach and undercut Wawa in Media, Conshy, and Edgmont.
ReplyDeleteWell said, MediaMike.
DeleteI'm sure we can find a "We Want Media Council Fired!" video
ReplyDeleteWatch your back, State of Flordia. Wawa is coming soon with a vengenance. Used to be a friendly store, now a corporate giant. Don't care about communites or people, but pretends to. Bottom line for Wawa is the botton line.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAH so funny that the folks who made this don't even know how to spell WHINE...that's where I cut off watching.
ReplyDelete"A meeting of the Conshohocken Borough Council erupted in applause Wednesday night after the council voted, 6-1, against a zoning amendment that would have allowed a Wawa store and service station on Fayette Street."
