URGENT: Media's Food Bank Needs Community's Help!

Media Community,

I've received quite a few messages this week informing me of the dire need the Media Food Bank has for food supplies.  If you have anything in the way of canned goods you can spare, please consider donating to this cause.  So here's what I'll do:  For those who may not be able to get these supplies over the the Media Methodist Church - 350 W. State St., we will offer to come pick your items up.  Leave your a bag on your porch/mailbox/front step and sent an email to info@allthingsmediapa.com.  Someone will come out to collect as soon as they can.

Also, please check out the Media Food Bank's Facebook page.
Media's food bank is currently serving 55-65 families per week. The food bank is open every Thursday evening from 7:00pm - 8:00pm and the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10:00am - 11:00am.

  1. Donations to food banks are even more important because Congress just cut $30 a month from the SNAP program in an environment where nobody's food bill went down $30 to my knowledge.

  2. Thank you very much for this post...We appreciate any and all you have to give. Join us this Sunday, Sept. 22 at 4pm to view the movie, A Place At The Table. A full length movie, narrated by Jeff Bridges, that addresses our country's hunger crisis. 1 in 4 children don't know where their next meal is coming from. Dinner and discussion will follow.
