Yes still no progress on the return of sidewalks to Jefferson Street, allowing for the continued unsafe travels of pedestrians pitted against traffic. It seems as if the developer is doing work on everything but the sidewalks first.
Even if they put the sidewalks back now, they'd have to keep them closed while the construction is ongoing. It's a fairly standard practice; and is why sidewalks generally wait until the end after heavy equipment is no longer needed. Building code WILL require them to restore the sidewalks, and while Jefferson is a fairly busy street in Media, it's not too difficult for one of fair to average intelligence to cross over to the open sidewalk on the other side. So just give it a rest already.
