  1. Traffic on 5th St. will be resolved once 3rd St is re opened and everyone trying to get into Media from Orange St. stops using 5th as a short cut.

    2. Anonymous 7:18 please expand on your comment are you that mentally slow to not believe the residents on 5th St. have experienced increased thru traffic ever since 3rd St. has been closed. Or do you just like fast A-holes?

  2. I welcome traffic calming, particularly on 6th Street. Runners and walkers who follow the Media 5-Mile loop are put in harm's way by speeding vehicles and drivers who fail to brake at the stop signs. Media's size makes it such a wonderful environment for pedestrians -- but only if it's safe!

  3. 5th street has the added bonus of not being a resident only parking during the week too. You lose your parking space within 5 minutes of leaving and get to shovel out freeloaders parking spaces during the winter and clean up after them the rest of the year. It's a double win for all the residents on 5th!

    1. "You lose your parking space...." its not YOUR space, if you want dedicated parking, buy a house with off street parking.

    2. It's a quality of life issue for the TAXPAYERS in the borough and a simple solution would be to make it RESIDENTIAL parking. That would generate more revenue for the borough and add to the quality of life for the TAXPAYERS.

  4. another simply solution is to park down the block or around the corner a little. If there was only residential parking, where would consumers who bring their revenue into Media park?

    1. Uh wild guess here but how about the @#$@%**@ parking garage?
you know the one Media just spent a bucket of money to repair.

    2. They aren't "consumers", they are people avoiding the parking fees. The borough's first concern should be taxpaying voters and not freeloaders who use Media's streets for their garbage can. Most of these people are regulars who are not paying parking fees and I highly doubt they are consuming anything with that mentality. Media would generate additional income from them and the resident's on 5th by making it permit parking. Tried to get them to change it with no luck.

    3. And you aren't a consumer, you are simply parking on a shared space and going into your home to complain about parking on the internet. At least I know where I can park my cars for a week when I paint my garage.
