The signs are completely reasonable given that there is currently a Presidential election underway. While it is certainly unprecedented for a campaign to begin on the first day of taking office, President Trump officially filed for re-election with the FEC on January 20th, 2017. Our President has also held multiple campaign rallies, Melbourne, Nashville, Louisville. He is also actively fundraising for this campaign. It seems well within 1st amendment rights to have a political sign in opposition to an active campaign by the current President of the United States. I'm sure the signs will come down 7 days after the election in 2020 in accordance with Code 311-91-H.

Code 311-91-H: Political signs, provided they do not exceed six square feet and are removed within seven days after the election. Not more than two signs with an aggregate total of eight square feet shall be permitted per street frontage.
hahaha. game, set, and match - this guy. A fantastic point. As well as the commenter above, though maybe he/she did not intend it to be - would you have questioned Media's ordinance if all the signs were "We support our police"?
When someone calls signs that oppose hate moronic, it shows they are needed more than ever. Perhaps we can get Mexico to pay for their removal. Maybe pro Russian signs would make the REAL moron happy
ReplyDeletePlease remove these signs. They are like advertisements.
You should feel free to call and email the borough code enforcement director I'm sure he will right back to you
ReplyDeleteIf anyone tries to take away my support Police and EMS sign there will be hell to pay! I have had that in my yard for over a year and its staying.

DeleteBy your logic, almost any sign can be political and All politicians are running from day 1 in office. Hate had a home before Trump, now, not so much.
DeleteHA! It's more like 7 days after 2024.....or longer!
