BP Station on corner of State and Providence Road is now closed

In the failed aftermath of the proposed Super Wawa, the BP station has closed.  Signs are being taken down and the pumps are now offline.   This lot was slated to be used for the land needed by Wawa to build a super store.  What will happen on this site remains to be seen.

  1. Sorry, BP! Even your company was not match for the idiots we call BOROUGH COUNCIL. Good Luck, you're better off getting out of this town anyway.

  2. Good riddance. It was a cheesy gas station mart that was sullying a prominent Media intersection. Notwithstanding the super Wawa debacle this will consolidate contiguous parcels for future development.

    1. Or it will just sit vacant, an open eye sore. Welcome to Media, Phillyboy's hometown all the free cheese you need.

How about this type of solution to keep the eye sore factor to a minimum?

  4. So, this BP station did not close because the Super Wawa is not happening. Think about it, why would this station close if there was not going to be a Super Wawa coming to the site? Either Media Real Estate jacked up the rent, or decided not to renew the lease, or the owners of the station decided not to renew the lease. Let's just blame council however because those damn liberal commies can't do anything right, right? Get real.
