This is not only an extremely popular event, but a generous one too for the community. Proceeds go to the Media Youth Center - and the numbers are impressive. Back in 2010 that total amount exceeded $75,000 since its inception. With this being the festival's 13th year, it may well be over $100,000 in donations to Media.
As popular as this Festival has become, so has the attendance. In fact, this sells out very quickly and there haven't been tickets sold at the door for years. I love the fact that this happens in Media, but recently the event has been too crowded. I accept the fact that Trader Joe's has to do business but there has to be a way to expand the footprint...move it to Barral Field?
