Another Business closes on State Street

Sadly another store on State Street closes.   After 12 years, Fitness Together shuts down.  Here's an update they provided on Facebook.

Thank you for considering Media as a place of business.

  2. With enough community support, I have to continue to believe that retail can survive. It isn't easy, but it is possible. A cute little consignment shop just opened at 211 State St this past week.

  3. I think retailers need to do their homework a little better before renting space. Study your potential customers in Media. They are Trader Joe's shoppers. They are Iron Hill patrons. They like the price point at Kuta. They like quality but at a value. Retail can work Media. But not everything will work in Media. Or in any town, for that matter.

    1. The borough hired an expensive consultant to analyze the downtown area not sure what action items came out of it and how much the consultant cost grant or no grant it should have dripped down to issues like these and our local gov't should be all over this ??
