  1. Wonderful to see someone taking on the parking issues in this town. Glad to see that business owners are taking charge of the issues. It's also good to see a Borough Council candidate is taking interest as well.

I just hope that everything they say won't fall on deaf ears again.

    1. They will with Brian Hall at the helm! He's a liar. They're all LIARS! He lied about the bridge, he lied to Rumsey, he lied to Straw, he lied about the parking deck, he lied about Broomall Park, he lied to everyone regarding the townhouse property, he lies and lies and lies!

    2. The mayor falls asleep in meetings. Safe to say no one is really listening in these meetings.

  2. Borough Council basically snubbed that Straw guy the last time he went and called them out on the parking garage fiasco. Hopefully the Council will listen to people regarding this major issue. They probably won't listen though. That's what happens when one party rule happens for about 8 years straight.

    2. I voted for Brian Hall the past 2 elections. This time it will be different. I am going to vote for people who actually give a damn. Michael Straw visited my house a few weeks ago and my wife signed his petition. I couldn't since I am an independent, but he has my vote in November. Organizing the town like this shows he should be on Council. Hopefully there will be other candidates running this year that will give me another option other than that disgrace of a councilman, Robinson.

  3. I have faith that these people will voice their concerns. I have no faith the Council will do anything, they are horrible at their jobs.

  7. Good Luck getting any additional parking. Boro Council can not even fix 3rd St. At least BLCC is trying to help solve the parking problem by allowing Court House employees to use the BLCC lot on 3rd St. to free up some parking in town.
Sure would be nice if some business owners would help get 3rd St. reopened.

    1. The BLCC is vilified by the Borough Council yet the BLCC is a team player in the community. For what it is worth, I won't be voting for any incumbents this year. Especially Paul Robinson.

    2. Take out some of those idiotic councilmembers. They have been hurting the entire community!

  9. You gotta love, "I have attended several borough meetings to try to address this issue, to no end." No kidding!

This council can't function on any level.

  10. Never have a problem finding parking in Media..as a long time resident there is more parking now ..with less visits to the courthouse as a result of online options. Where are they going to find MORE parking?

    1. When are you trying to park? In the middle of the day most have to drive around for ten minutes to find parking. We could all go by circumstance or we could all look at what we are facing.

    2. MBA and the borough should find away to use media elementary school for parking at nights and on the weekends, or BLCC and septa lot(s) and have a shuttle service during DUTS or other events, or work with other office owners\business (7th & Jackson) that are not working on the weekends or at night to open up parking at their locations. Be proactive, with a little effort we could likely find other locations. Super Sunday's are often packed and those people park somewhere.

    3. You aren't actually going to Media then.

  11. These people will probably provide better ideas than those bozos on Council. Whatever happened to the idea of building a deck at Orange and Baltimore?

  12. Pretty sure there are solutions already in the works. I heard about a multi-level garage possibly going in the lot next to the liquor store. Also, they are rebuilding the Orange St lot for the court house. And, they are in the process of fixing any issues in the Olive St parking garage. I think it's helpful to know that once a bank closes for the day, you can park there. And we don't have any shortages of banks in the area. Just a thought!

    1. They stopped that project on orange and baltimore. They have no plans to rebuild the parking deck at the county just yet. And they couldn't tell us that the parking deck would be closed at Olive for 3 days. They don't have a plan.

    2. They haven't done anything.

  13. I work for the county and I believe that the jurors should NOT be using employee parking garage. It has become an extreme hardship on the employees who get no compensation for having to feed meters all day, car pooling, or taking public transportation. Jurors in other counties are given a summons to appear and that's it. So they need to find a parking situation for the jurors where they can park and be shuttled. Also there is a separate garage used for certain judicial personnel, and alot of that space is not utilized. Employees are agressively ticketed, another burden on an already low paying job. Hope someone can help!

    1. Many county workers are parking ILLEGALLY in Media Borough's parking areas too.

  14. Maybe, after spending $500,000 plus for the pocket park at 4th and broomall, it can be used for parking.

    1. No way that would be too easy. Or maybe spend that money on the 3rd St. Bridge since they spent the better half of a decade with their thumbs up their butts doing nothing until 20% of their funding EXPIRED!
